So many Americans suffer from joint pain. Many find it challenging to find something that works for them in regards to physical fitness. At a fitness center the classes might look fun, but the high impact is not going to work for those joints! Lifting weights does not have to involve impact but how does one get their heart rate high enough and their muscles warm enough to start lifting when they cannot do the high impact moves? The answer is actually very easy. All you really need to do is warm up the room or get outside when it is warm out. When the room is warmer you don't have to jump around to get your heart and muscles ready! Make it as warm as you need to...but remember to drink plenty of water. Remember, how many calories your burn has to do with where your heart rate is and how long you keep it there...not how you get it there. Don't hurt your body to lose weight! You can increase your heart rate any number of ways that do not involve impact. Heating up the room is just one easy step, stay tuned for more!

Namasté
|
Namasté is a sanskrit term. i have heard many translations but the one that sticks with me is this: "i honor the place in you that is the same as the place in me." The term is used to show respect and good will, but the meaning is really much deeper. It means that we are all part of the same whole, and at our core, we are all the same...the part of us that never changes, that Self, is recognizable because it exists in the same exact state in all humans. |
